Legoland Florida announces 10th anniversary celebrations and attractions
WINTER HAVEN, Florida – Legoland Florida Resort is preparing to commemorate ten years of incredible fun next month.
The theme park opened on October 15, 2011 and took over the old Cypress Gardens theme park.

To celebrate the big anniversary this year, guests can expect to see new shade structures in its iconic Miniland Park area, an immersive new attraction, and a brick-built birthday party that features the world’s largest cake topper. Lego anniversary never built.
From October 15, customers will be able to experience the brand new attraction called “The Legoland Story”.
The LEGO story comes to life with playful, photo-worthy displays, including an original Triple Hurricane vehicle from Cypress Gardens and an interactive minifigure swap wall. Colorful floor-to-ceiling graphics depict chapters of LEGO history, including the first ever LEGO toy and the original minifigure. After exploring the experience step by step, guests will build alongside the Master Builders Workshop with hands-on brick activities that are sure to inspire builders of tomorrow, ”Legoland Florida officials described in A press release.
The new attraction will also include a brand new café, Legoland Coffee Co., which will serve fresh iced coffees and seasonal flavors.
Families are also invited to join in the birthday party which will include celebratory moments, surprise character appearances and pop-up entertainment.
No birthday is complete without a few goodies.
Legoland Florida said chefs will prepare delicious treats for the menu, which includes a French fries cupcake and birthday milk cake at Legoland Coffee Co.
Legoland said the 10th anniversary birthday cake will be over 20 feet tall and will be on display until the end of the year.
Legoland celebrated all year round with the addition of the Brickbeard Water Sports Stunt Show, PirateFest Weekends, LEGO Friends Weekend, LEGO NINJAGO Days and AWE-Summer.
Next month, the theme park will also begin its Brick-or-Treat Halloween Event which operates on Saturday and Sunday.
The event, which is included in the entrance to the park, will feature exclusive Lego monster characters, treats, dance parties and fireworks.
