Disney stays silent on TRON attraction updates
It was a day full of news for the Walt Disney World Resort! We just saw a ton of news on various attractions, resorts, and deals, but one was left out of the announcements.
Today we found out that on March 1, the Star wars: Galactic Starcruiser will open, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will debut in 2022 (we also got to see a private tour of the attraction yesterday, which you can read more about here), MagicBand + is about to interact with the guests all the golden statues of the Fab 50s, and Angela Bassett will tell about Disney Enchantment, the new fireworks show.
While there was a lot of information to take into account, there was no news of any attraction under construction for a long time. TRON Lightcycle / Run has been under construction in Magic Kingdom for some time, and guests are patiently waiting for an opening date. The roller coaster still seems to have a long way to go, and now that we still haven’t heard an update on an announcement-filled day, it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer until we can. see the finish line for the attraction.
The attraction comes from the original, which can be found at Shanghai Disneyland. There can, of course, be some differences; However, the overall concept and appearance will be similar. During our recent build updates, we mentioned that shrubs are being put in place to try and create a barrier between the attraction and the surrounding land. We can also see that the canopy of the attraction appears to be completed.
For now, it looks like we’ll have to wait for more information on the attraction. The good thing is that since the construction is so visible, we can see how far along the roller coaster is from the outside. That being said, after going through Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind yesterday, I can say that Disney may have some work to do outside; the interior looks complete – maybe TRON will be built the same!
When do you think TRON Lightcycle / Run will debut?
