CITY OF ELLENSBURG LANDMARKS AND DESIGN COMMISSION NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING REQUEST FOR CERTIFICATE OF CONVENIENCE NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Ellensburg Landmarks and Design Commission (LDC) will hold its regular public hearing on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 5:45 p.m. note that due to the current state of emergency in Washington State, this meeting will be held through the remote participation of the Commission, the applicant and the public. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that written comments may be filed with the Community Development Department, Town Hall, 501 N. Anderson St., Ellensburg, WA 98296, attention Stacey Henderson, or at her e-mail, until 5:00 p.m. on January 4. All application materials are available by requesting a copy by emailing Stacey Henderson, 509-925-8608, hendersons@ci.ellensburg.wa.us. COA P21-152: Date of application: 07/12/2021 Date of notice of full application: 15/12/2021 The Commission will consider an application for a Certificate of Suitability (COA) (P21-152) from Darren Nelson , owner’s agent. This is in accordance with ECC 15.280.090 (A), requesting approval to install a cold room and replace a fence at 416 N Main Street, Parcel ID # 286933, in the Central Business Zoning (CC). The proposed location for the cooler is north of the existing building, and the applicant proposes to update or replace the fence along the north side of the building. The installation of the chiller is intended to provide additional space for future businesses since the building is a small space. This proposed work is located in the historic downtown Ellensburg National Register district and the local monuments district, for which there is a contribution building. COA P21-155: Date of application: 13/12/2021 Date of notice of full application: 15/12/2021 The Commission will consider a request for a Certificate of Suitability (COA) (P21-155) from Jesse Sivak , owner property agent. This is in accordance with ECC 15.280.090 (A), requesting approval to rehabilitate and repair the exterior of the structure at 804½ N. “C” St., Parcel ID # 563334, in low density residential zoning (RL ). The proposed improvements include the replacement of the exterior cladding, windows and roof of the main structure. The proposed work is located in the First Railroad Addition National Register Historic District and the local Ellensburg Monument District. NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that all those interested in this matter can participate in the meeting REMOTE by contacting the staff no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday January 3rd.
